A Little Welcome From Marlowe
Welcome to Marlowe & June, and thank you for being here. I’m Marlowe, and I run this store with my sister June. We started it eight years ago from a kitchen table, for a reason that probably sounds familiar: we were tired of coming home from a day of shopping with nothing. Everything looked right on the hanger. Almost none of it still felt right two hours later.
We always believed getting dressed should be the easy part of your day, not the part you dread. So we built the store we wanted to shop in ourselves — fewer pieces, chosen slowly, and only ones we would actually wear. Eight years on, that hasn’t changed. What has changed is who’s here with us: women who care how a dress feels by the end of the evening, not just how it looks in the first photo. We’re grateful for every one of them, and for you.
Why Marlowe & June Was Created
We created Marlowe & June for women who want clothing that looks beautiful and still works in real life. If you have ever loved something online and quietly regretted it by lunchtime, you already know the problem we set out to solve.
So we choose differently. Every piece has to sit well on a body that has lived a bit, not on a sample size. It has to fold into a suitcase and still be worth wearing to dinner. And it has to earn its place across more than one moment — errands and school pickup, lunch with friends, a family gathering, or the wedding you have been dreading finding something for.
We don’t chase seasons. If a dress works, it stays, year after year. That means our collection grows slowly, and that is the point: everything here has already passed the only test that matters — would we wear it ourselves?
